Palo Santos wood, also called Holy wood, has been used since ancient times by the Incas and shamans as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing. It is said to cleanse a space of negative energies and is traditionally used before ritual much like white sage, but is much more pleasant and gives off a less choking type of smoke than white sage.

These sticks can be lit alone as is and will burn for up to a minute or so and extinguish themselves, filling a space with a sweet warm fragrance. Palo Santos wood is harvested under government supervision by the natives of the Peruvian jungle. Palo Santo trees often drop their twigs and branches and the wood is collected from the ground. No trees are destroyed in the collection of our Palos Santos.  Our Palo Santos is part of a sustainable program, where new trees are planted to replace those which have been harvested.
